Here we have promises and blessings prophesied to Israel. The complete fulfillment of these prophecies will come after the time of "Jacob's Trouble" known as the Tribulation, which is still to come in our future.

Psalm 23

1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.

2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,

3 he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Isaiah 57: 14-21

14 And it will be said: "Build up, build up, prepare the road! Remove the obstacles out of the way of my people."

15 For this is what the high and lofty One says - he who lives forever, whose name is holy: "I live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.

16 I will not accuse forever, nor will I always be angry, for then the spirit of man would grow faint before me - the breath of man that I have created.

17 I was enraged by his sinful greed; I punished him, and hid my face in anger, yet he kept on in his willful ways.

18 I have seen his ways, but I will heal him; I will guide him and restore comfort to him,

19 creating praise on the lips of the mourners in Israel. Peace, peace, to those far and near," says the LORD. "And I will heal them."

20 But the wicked are like the tossing sea, which cannot rest, whose waves cast up mire and mud.

21 "There is no peace," says my God, "for the wicked."

Isaiah 60: 15-22

15 "Although you have been forsaken and hated, with no one traveling through, I will make you the everlasting pride and the joy of all generations.

16 You will drink the milk of nations and be nursed at royal breasts. Then you will know that I, the LORD, am your Savior, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.

17 Instead of bronze I will bring you gold, and silver in place of iron. Instead of wood I will bring you bronze, and iron in place of stones. I will make peace your governor and righteousness your ruler.

18 No longer will violence be heard in your land, nor ruin or destruction within your borders, but you will call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise.

19 The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.

20 Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more; the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end.

21 Then will all your people be righteous and they will possess the land forever. They are the shoot I have planted, the work of my hands, for the display of my splendor.

22 The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the LORD; in its time I will do this swiftly."

Psalms 102: 11-28

11 My life passes as swiftly as the evening shadows. I am withering like grass.
12 But you, O LORD, will rule forever. Your fame will endure to every generation.
13 You will arise and have mercy on Jerusalem - and now is the time to pity her, now is the time you promised to help.
14 For your people love every stone in her walls and show favor even to the dust in her streets.
15 And the nations will tremble before the LORD. The kings of the earth will tremble before his glory.
16 For the LORD will rebuild Jerusalem. He will appear in his glory.
17 He will listen to the prayers of the destitute. He will not reject their pleas.
18 Let this be recorded for future generations, so that a nation yet to be created will praise the LORD.
19 Tell them the LORD looked down from his heavenly sanctuary. He looked to the earth from heaven
20 to hear the groans of the prisoners, to release those condemned to die.
21 And so the LORD's fame will be celebrated in Zion, his praises in Jerusalem,
22 when multitudes gather together and kingdoms come to worship the LORD.
23 He has cut me down in midlife, shortening my days.
24 But I cried to him, "My God, who lives forever, don't take my life while I am still so young!
25 In ages past you laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.
26 Even they will perish, but you remain forever; they will wear out like old clothing. You will change them like a garment, and they will fade away.
27 But you are always the same; your years never end.
28 The children of your people will live in security. Their children's children will thrive in your presence."

Psalms 132:7 - 134:2

7 Let us go to the dwelling place of the LORD; let us bow low before him.
8 Arise, O LORD, and enter your sanctuary, along with the Ark, the symbol of your power.
9 Your priests will be agents of salvation; may your loyal servants sing for joy.
10 For the sake of your servant David, do not reject the king you chose for your people.
11 The LORD swore to David a promise he will never take back: "I will place one of your descendants on your throne.
12 If your descendants obey the terms of my covenant and follow the decrees that I teach them, then your royal line will never end."
13 For the LORD has chosen Jerusalem; he has desired it as his home.
14 "This is my home where I will live forever," he said. "I will live here, for this is the place I desired.
15 I will make this city prosperous and satisfy its poor with food.
16 I will make its priests the agents of salvation; its godly people will sing for joy.
17 Here I will increase the power of David; my anointed one will be a light for my people.
18 I will clothe his enemies with shame, but he will be a glorious king."

A song for the ascent to Jerusalem. A psalm of David.

Psalms 133

1 How wonderful it is, how pleasant, when brothers live together in harmony!
2 For harmony is as precious as the fragrant anointing oil that was poured over Aaron's head, that ran down his beard and onto the border of his robe.
3 Harmony is as refreshing as the dew from Mount Hermon that falls on the mountains of Zion. And the LORD has pronounced his blessing, even life forevermore.

A song for the ascent to Jerusalem.

Psalms 134

1 Oh, bless the LORD, all you servants of the LORD, you who serve as night watchmen in the house of the LORD.
2 Lift your hands in holiness, and bless the LORD.

Song of Solomon 2:10-17

10 "My lover said to me, 'Rise up, my beloved, my fair one, and come away.
11 For the winter is past, and the rain is over and gone.
12 The flowers are springing up, and the time of singing birds has come, even the cooing of turtledoves.
13 The fig trees are budding, and the grapevines are in blossom. How delicious they smell! Yes, spring is here! Arise, my beloved, my fair one, and come away.' " Young Man:
14 "My dove is hiding behind some rocks, behind an outcrop on the cliff. Let me see you; let me hear your voice. For your voice is pleasant, and you are lovely." Young Women of Jerusalem:
15 "Quick! Catch all the little foxes before they ruin the vineyard of your love, for the grapevines are all in blossom." Young Woman:
16 "My lover is mine, and I am his. He feeds among the lilies!
17 Before the dawn comes and the shadows flee away, come back to me, my love. Run like a gazelle or a young stag on the rugged mountains."

Isaiah 59:15-60:9

15 Yes, truth is gone, and anyone who tries to live a godly life is soon attacked. The LORD looked and was displeased to find that there was no justice.
16 He was amazed to see that no one intervened to help the oppressed. So he himself stepped in to save them with his mighty power and justice.
17 He put on righteousness as his body armor and placed the helmet of salvation on his head. He clothed himself with the robes of vengeance and godly fury.
18 He will repay his enemies for their evil deeds. His fury will fall on his foes in distant lands.
18 Then at last they will respect and glorify the name of the LORD throughout the world. For he will come like a flood tide driven by the breath of the LORD.
20 "The Redeemer will come to Jerusalem," says the LORD{D}, "to buy back those in Israel who have turned from their sins.
21 And this is my covenant with them," says the LORD." My Spirit will not leave them, and neither will these words I have given you. They will be on your lips and on the lips of your children and your children's children forever. I, the LORD, have spoken!

Future Glory for Jerusalem

Isaiah 60

1 "Arise, Jerusalem! Let your light shine for all the nations to see! For the glory of the LORD is shining upon you.
2 Darkness as black as night will cover all the nations of the earth, but the glory of the LORD will shine over you.
3 All nations will come to your light. Mighty kings will come to see your radiance.
4 "Look and see, for everyone is coming home! Your sons are coming from distant lands; your little daughters will be carried home.
5 Your eyes will shine, and your hearts will thrill with joy, for merchants from around the world will come to you. They will bring you the wealth of many lands.
6 Vast caravans of camels will converge on you, the camels of Midian and Ephah. From Sheba they will bring gold and incense for the worship of the LORD.
7 The flocks of Kedar will be given to you, and the rams of Nebaioth will be brought for my altars. In that day I will make my Temple glorious.
8 "And what do I see flying like clouds to Israel, like doves to their nests?
9 They are the ships of Tarshish, reserved to bring the people of Israel home. They will bring their wealth with them, and it will bring great honor to the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he will fill you with splendor.

A psalm of praise. Of David.

Psalms 145:

1 I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever.
2 Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever.
3 Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom.
4 One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts.
5 They will speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty, and I will meditate on your wonderful works.
6 They will tell of the power of your awesome works, and I will proclaim your great deeds.
7 They will celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness.
8 The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.
9 The LORD is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.
10 All you have made will praise you, O LORD; your saints will extol you.
11 They will tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might,
12 so that all men may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.
13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made.
14 The LORD upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.
15 The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time.
16 You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.
17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways and loving toward all he has made.
18 The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
19 He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.
20 The LORD watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.
21 My mouth will speak in praise of the LORD. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.

In the volume of the Book it is written of Me.
