Sex: A Good Thing?

Prophecy Today Ministries

John 3:16-20

16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

17 God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.

18 "There is no judgment awaiting those who trust him. But those who do not trust him have already been judged for not believing in the only Son of God.

19 Their judgment is based on this fact: The light from heaven came into the world, but they loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil.

20 They hate the light because they want to sin in the darkness. They stay away from the light for fear their sins will be exposed and they will be punished.

This transcript was written to those who have received Jesus as there Lord and Savior and know of His love personally within their hearts. This is what gives us strength to endure and obey His commands. We have fellowship with the Comforter...The Holy Spirit. This is His testimony to us. You can come to know Jesus personally at this site by clicking on the link titled "Heaven."

2 Peter 1:3-11

3 As we know Jesus better, his divine power gives us everything we need for living a godly life. He has called us to receive his own glory and goodness!

4 And by that same mighty power, he has given us all of his rich and wonderful promises.

5 So make every effort to apply the benefits of these promises to your life.

8 The more you grow like this, the more you will become productive and useful in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9 But those who fail to develop these virtues are blind or, at least, very shortsighted. They have already forgotten that God has cleansed them from their old life of sin.

10 So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Doing this, you will never stumble or fall away.

11 And God will open wide the gates of heaven for you to enter into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

John 8:3-12

3 The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery . They made her stand before the group

4 and said to Jesus, "Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery .5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?"

6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him. But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger.

7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."

8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.

9 At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there.

10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?"

11 "No one, sir," she said. "Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin."

12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

NIV

Jesus is saving a women in sin who was about to be killed by sinners. Worse sinners then this women who had been caught in adultery I'm sure. This is what Jesus does. He forgives our sins... past, present, and future. It is under His blood that He shed for her. He died in her place so she could live. This is God's way. Men seek to kill one another for what they themselves are guilty of. God fulfilled the law on the Cross freeing mankind from the bondage of sin.

We need therefore to take heed and listen to God's word and sin no more. We will never be perfect, but we do need to stride toward the goal that Christ has set before us. It is only after you have accepted Jesus into your heart that you can truly change. You have to experience this Love of God in order to obey God. A love letter will be written on your heart. It is God's gift to you and it cost Jesus His life.

Rom 13:9-14

9 The commandments, "Do not commit adultery ," "Do not murder," "Do not steal," "Do not covet," and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule: "Love your neighbor as yourself."

10 Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

11 And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.

12 The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.

13 Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy.

14 Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature.

NIV

What are the results of sexual activity outside of marriage in our society today? Teenage parents who are now tied to support a child without previously growing up themselves and have a chance of an education before hand. It may lead to an aborted infant. This is the death of a human being no matter which way you look at it. Sex is a beautiful experience and God intended it to be that way. Married couples are urged not to let anger separate a man and women from making love to one another.

Sex before marriage has led our society into a social and moral corruption. It has been the cause of countless deaths of aborted infants. The cost of millions upon millions of dollars in support of the single parent. And has left a bleak impression of what love is when people cannot even commit to marriage before involving themselves in one of the most intimate expressions known...Sex.

True Love as Christ has shown us, is the only fulfilling experience. Seek first His Kingdom and all your desires will be met. Seek His truth, and your heart will be satisfied. Sex is a good thing but in a loving relationship under the bond of marriage as God has ordained it.

We have to follow Christ to enter into Heaven and avoid hell. Hell is a real place and please understand, especially if you have seen Mel Gibson's "The Passion," He died so that sinners can be cleansed and enter Heaven. It is up to you to accept this sacrifice.

See the link "True Love," "Jesus' Crucifix," and "Heaven" to see what the Lord has done for us!

As one grows in Christ after accepting Him, the things of this world will grow strangely dim. The greatest treasure of this world will become worthless without His love in your heart. This happens because of the overwhelming joy that grows within us as we experience the Love of Christ. We need to truly seek His kingdom first!

Jesus said while He walked the earth.

John 15:12-13

12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.

13 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

NIV

This is God's proof of His love for us. He died on the Cross fulfilling the Prophecy and allowing man to enter the Kingdom of God. His love for us it the ultimate fulfillment of God's love for us.

1 John 1:4-2:3

4 We are writing these things so that our joy will be complete.

Living in the Light

5 This is the message he has given us to announce to you: God is light and there is no darkness in him at all.

6 So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness. We are not living in the truth.

7 But if we are living in the light of God's presence, just as Christ is, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from every sin.

8 If we say we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and refusing to accept the truth.

9 But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong.

10 If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in our hearts.

1 John 2

2:1 My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if you do sin, there is someone to plead for you before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who pleases God completely.

2 He is the sacrifice for our sins. He takes away not only our sins but the sins of all the world.

3 And how can we be sure that we belong to him? By obeying his commandments.

NLT

Matt 15:19-20

19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery , sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.

20 These are what make a man 'unclean'; but eating with unwashed hands does not make him 'unclean.'"

NIV

This shows that Jesus was upholding the old Testament Law while preaching the Gospel of God's forgiveness.

What I mean to say is that the Lord was calling His audience to consider their hearts and not worry too much about following traditional ceremonies. When one stays close to Jesus, it is hard to break the law because it becomes written on your heart. It becomes our desire to obey God. His love growing in our hearts supersedes all selfishness!

Look at our society today. We won't allow the Ten Commandments to be places on stone. One has to wonder how far our hearts have gone from the Lord. We do not want "One Nation Under God" as our motto anymore. We don't want God to rule over us. How difficult is it today for people to want to know of God's love for them? How can God's love be written on their heart when they don't want to see the words, "Thou shalt not kill" written on a stone?

Anyone who stands for justice, as Isaiah 59:15 puts it, is quickly attacked.

Isaiah 59:15

15 Yes, truth is gone, and anyone who tries to live a godly life is soon attacked. The LORD looked and was displeased to find that there was no justice.

1 John 3:10-18

10 So now we can tell who are children of God and who are children of the Devil. Anyone who does not obey God's commands and does not love other Christians does not belong to God.
Love One Another

11 This is the message we have heard from the beginning: We should love one another.

12 We must not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and killed his brother. And why did he kill him? Because Cain had been doing what was evil, and his brother had been doing what was right.

13 So don't be surprised, dear brothers and sisters, if the world hates you.

14 If we love our Christian brothers and sisters, it proves that we have passed from death to eternal life. But a person who has no love is still dead.

15 Anyone who hates another Christian is really a murderer at heart. And you know that murderers don't have eternal life within them.

16 We know what real love is because Christ gave up his life for us. And so we also ought to give up our lives for our Christian brothers and sisters.

17 But if anyone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need and refuses to help — how can God's love be in that person?

18 Dear children, let us stop just saying we love each other; let us really show it by our actions.

NLT

Gal 5:13-6:1

13 For, dear brothers, you have been given freedom: not freedom to do wrong, but freedom to love and serve each other.

14 For the whole Law can be summed up in this one command: "Love others as you love yourself."

15 But if instead of showing love among yourselves you are always critical and catty, watch out! Beware of ruining each other.

16 I advise you to obey only the Holy Spirit's instructions. He will tell you where to go and what to do, and then you won't always be doing the wrong things your evil nature wants you to.

17 For we naturally love to do evil things that are just the opposite from the things that the Holy Spirit tells us to do; and the good things we want to do when the Spirit has his way with us are just the opposite of our natural desires. These two forces within us are constantly fighting each other to win control over us, and our wishes are never free from their pressures.

18 When you are guided by the Holy Spirit, you need no longer force yourself to obey Jewish laws.

(The People were going back to customs of the Old Testament in trying to keep themselves clean after they had received Jesus as Savior.)

19 But when you follow your own wrong inclinations, your lives will produce these evil results: impure thoughts, eagerness for lustful pleasure,

20 idolatry, spiritism (that is, encouraging the activity of demons), hatred and fighting, jealousy and anger, constant effort to get the best for yourself, complaints and criticisms, the feeling that everyone else is wrong except those in your own little group-and there will be wrong doctrine,

21 envy, murder, drunkenness, wild parties, and all that sort of thing. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

22 But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

23 gentleness and self-control; and here there is no conflict with Jewish laws.

24 Those who belong to Christ have nailed their natural evil desires to his cross and crucified them there.

25 If we are living now by the Holy Spirit's power, let us follow the Holy Spirit's leading in every part of our lives.

26 Then we won't need to look for honors and popularity, which lead to jealousy and hard feelings.
