Isaiah 52:13-15
(Isaiah: Old Testament; ~750 BC)

Behold, My Servant will prosper;
He will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted.
Just as many were appalled at You -
His appearance was disfigured beyond that of any man,
and His form was marred beyond human likeness -
so He will sprinkled many nations.

Kings will shut their mouths because of Him.
For they will see what they have not been told,
and they will understand what they have not heard
.

Berean Study Bible

The phenomena of prophecy is absolutely amazing! We can read in detail what takes place in Jesus' life hundreds and thousands of years before He lived on earth. We have to remember Jesus is not a created being. Jesus, as scripture tells us in

The Book of Micah Chapter 5 Verse 2;

"The One from Eternity Past".

This was written approximately 750 years before the birth of Jesus Christ.

Micah gives us the location and the fact that one being born is from eternity. An eternal being to be born in Bethlehem.
Remember that Christmas tune, "Oh little town of Bethlehem?" The birth place of Jesus the Messiah (Christ)
.

Micah 5:2 (Micah: Old Testament; ~750 BC)
2 And thou, Bethleem, house of Ephratha, art few in number to be reckoned among the thousands of Juda; yet out of thee shall one come forth to me, to be a ruler of Israel; and his goings forth were from the beginning, even from eternity.
----------------------------------------
Brenton Septuagint Translation

Jesus the Messiah has no beginning, and He has no end. Though, we see Him born and living His life as a carpenter in Israel, Jesus has told us before Abraham lived, I existed.
What has Isaiah written to us hundreds of years before Messiah came as the Son of Man? Let us read below:

Isaiah 9:6-7 (Isaiah: Old Testament; ~750 BC)

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end,

upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth
even for ever.
The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
----------------------------------------
King James Bible

Isaiah tells us that a child is born, Micah reminds us His birth place will be in Bethlehem. Isaiah goes on to say that He shall be a ruler and his government and peace shall never end. This does not describe a common man. This has to describing the long awaited Messiah! The Messiah, the Child born and given to us will be called Mighty God! This is not speaking of any man! He will be called Everlasting Father! The Prince of Peace!
The Messiah will be a ruler not just of Israel but of the entire world. He will rule from David's throne as King David was recognized by the ancient rabbis to be "the personification" of the conquering King Messiah

Jesus is the second person of the Triune Godhead we call the Trinity. We see God in scripture having multifaceted roles as GOD the Father, and Jesus (God the Son), and the God the Holy Spirit. But we must remember we do not worship three Gods but one. We acknowledge each person of the Godhead, but the "LORD our God is one". Jesus has told us, "If you seen me, you have seen the Father". Let's move on and read scripture.

First, let us look at Jesus' words and life while He was on earth.

Matthew 26:48 - 56 (The Gospel of Matthew ... New Testament)

48 Judas had given them a prearranged signal: "You will know which one to arrest when I go over and give him the kiss of greeting."

49 So Judas came straight to Jesus. "Greetings, Teacher!" he exclaimed and gave him the kiss.

50 Jesus said, "My friend, go ahead and do what you have come for." Then the others grabbed Jesus and arrested him.

51 One of the men with Jesus pulled out a sword and slashed off an ear of the high priest's servant.

52 "Put away your sword," Jesus told him. "Those who use the sword will be killed by the sword.

53
Don't you realize that I could ask my Father for thousands of angels to protect us, and he would send them instantly?
54
But if I did, how would the Scriptures be fulfilled that describe what must happen now?"

55 Then Jesus said to the crowd, "Am I some dangerous criminal, that you have come armed with swords and clubs to arrest me? Why didn't you arrest me in the Temple? I was there teaching every day.

56
But this is all happening to fulfill the words of the prophets as recorded in the Scriptures."

At that point, all the disciples deserted him and fled.

Jesus points out that the pharisee could have Him arrested at anytime in broad daylight. But they go after Jesus like He was a thief in the night. Why? Because it was the pharisees who were the real criminals. They could not arrest Jesus by their own laws. So they went after Him when they would not be seen. They were the ones breaking the law ... their own laws.

Matthew 27:11- 12 (The Gospel of Matthew ... New Testament)
11 Meanwhile Jesus stood before the governor, who questioned Him: “Are You the King of the Jews?”

"Are you the King of the Jews" The governor asked him.

Jesus replied,"

"You have said so,"Jesus replied

12 And when He was accused by the chief priests and elders, He gave no answer.

13 Then Pilate asked Him, “Do You not hear how many charges they are bringing against You?”

14 But Jesus gave no answer, not even to a single charge, much to the governor’s amazement.

BSB

Matthew 27:18- 19 (The Gospel of Matthew ... New Testament)

18 (He [Pilate] knew very well that the Jewish leaders had arrested Jesus out of envy.)

19 Just then, as Pilate was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent him this message: "Leave that innocent man alone, because I had a terrible nightmare about him last night."

This is an astounding situation. Pontius Pilate (Marcus Pontius Pilatus) is the most powerful man ruling this entire region. The governor of Judea. A ruthless man who governed Judea for ten years. This was unheard of. No prefect governed for more than two and a half years in this region. They were either assassinated by a political rival, died of some element, or left the position. To rule Judea for ten years meant he was intelligent and ruthless. He had no problem sending men, women, and children to their death.

Pontius Pilate was amazed at the fact the Jesus was on trial and was not giving a response to his questions! You did not play games with this man. He could have you torn to pieces without blinking. These trials in the Roman courts of law were designed to see if the accused would present a case for himself and be found not guilty.

The accused would be asked three questions, and a reply was expected to see if there was any favor in the answers given. By not answering Pilate's questions, Jesus was putting Himself in a position of certain death. Death by Roman scourging. Those scourged could die just from the whipping before they were ever brought to the Roman cross - literally whipped to death! The victims of this torture would be disemboweled - have their organs spill out of the tears in the abdominal. The lacerations from the Roman scourging was so severe that ribs would be seen and the spinal column - the back bones laid bare and open. The victim of this torture would have their flesh ripped off their bodies. So much for the Swoon Theory!

The Roman cross was a death sentence to be carried out with no reservations for mercy! And in Yeshua' case, the watchful eyes of the Sadducee and Pharisee would be upon the crucifixion of Messiah to make sure it was carried out. A spear was also thrust into the side of Jesus while He hung on the Cross to make sure He was dead and could be taken down off the cross.

One of the artifacts of this torture are the granite pillars, which the subjects would be tied to before they were whipped. The pillars are on display and one can easily see they are gouged and covered in scars! Granite is one of the hardest substances on earth. It is second in hardness only to diamonds. Human beings were torn to shreds by these whips which had glass and sharp metal hooks intertwined within the leather straps. Then, if they survived the torture of the Roman whips designed to break bones and tear off flesh, the guilty would face the most horrific death, which the most hardened criminals would cringe at; the cross was the death sentence of ancient Rome. An order to be sent to the cross was an order of execution. The Roman guard would make sure you were dead and that they did not fail at their job!

Before Jesus was sentenced to the cross, it would seem Pilate was having mercy upon Jesus as we read the Gospels and even testing the crowed I would think to see if they would have mercy upon Him as well.

Jesus fulfilled the prophecy written approximately 800 BC we read below for the sake of love and to save all humanity which states..,

Isaiah 53:7 (Isaiah: Old Testament; ~750 BC)
"He was oppressed and afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so He did not open His mouth."
----------------------------------------
BSB

Below in Matt chapter 27 within verses 33 through 46 we read of Jesus' plight as He suffered on the Cross. Several prophecies are being fulfilled here.

Matthew 27:33- 46 (The Gospel of Matthew ... New Testament)

33 They came to a place called Golgotha (which means The Place of the Skull).

34 There they offered Jesus wine to drink, mixed with gall; but after tasting it, he refused to drink it.

35 When they had crucified him, they divided up his clothes by casting lots.

36 And sitting down, they kept watch over him there.

37 Above his head they placed the written charge against him: THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS.

38 Two robbers were crucified with him, one on his right and one on his left.

39 Those who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads

40 and saying, "You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days, save yourself! Come down from the cross, if you are the Son of God!"

41 In the same way the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders mocked him.

42 "He saved others," they said, "but he can't save himself! He's the King of Israel! Let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him.

43 He trusts in God. Let God rescue him now if he wants him, for he said, ' I am the Son of God .'"

Below in Matt chapter 26 within verses 59 through 68 we read of one of Jesus' many trials before He is sentenced to death

Matthew 26:59- 68 (The Gospel of Matthew ... New Testament)

59 Inside, the leading priests and the entire high council were trying to find witnesses who would lie about Jesus, so they could put him to death.

60 But even though they found many who agreed to give false witness, there was no testimony they could use. Finally, two men were found

61 who declared, "This man said, 'I am able to destroy the Temple of God and rebuild it in three days.' "

62 Then the high priest stood up and said to Jesus, "Well, aren't you going to answer these charges? What do you have to say for yourself?"

63 But Jesus remained silent. Then the high priest said to him, "I demand in the name of the living God that you tell us whether you are the Messiah, the Son of God."

64
Jesus replied, "Yes, it is as you say. And in the future you will see me, the Son of Man, sitting at God's right hand in the place of power and coming back on the clouds of heaven."

65 Then the high priest tore his clothing to show his horror, shouting, "Blasphemy! Why do we need other witnesses? You have all heard his blasphemy.

66 What is your verdict!" Guilty they shouted.

"He must die!"

67 Then they spit in Jesus' face and hit him with their fists. And some slapped him,

68 saying, "Prophecy to us, you Messiah! Who hit you that time?"

Matthew 27:44 (The Gospel of Matthew ... New Testament)

44 In the same way the robbers who were crucified with him also heaped insults on him.

45 From the sixth hour until the ninth hour darkness came over all the land.

46 About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?" -which means,
My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"

Matt 20:17- 19

And as Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside, and on the way

he said to them,

"Behold. We are going up to Jerusalem;
and the Son of man will be delivered to the chief priests and scribes,
and they will condemn him to death
,
and deliver him to the Gentiles to be mocked and scourged and crucified and
,
he will be raised on the third day."

We just read in the Gospel of Matthew above of Jesus telling His disciples how He would die and what will happen. Some will venture to say, "Oh, Jesus planned this out." which of course is completely ridiculous after reading what was coming His way at the hands of His accusers and Rome. But He could not plan out how the Roman guard will gamble for His garment as they did precisely as scripture states would take place thousands of years before the event nor of how and where He would be buried as was the case.

And directly below Jesus Himself tells us that no one takes His life from Him! No one, no devil, no calamity, no situation could take the life away from Jesus. He laid down His life for humanity's sake!

John 10: 15- 18

just as the Father knows me and I know the Father

and I lay down my life for the sheep.

I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.

The reason my Father loves me is that

I lay down my life
only to take it up again.

No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord.
I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again.
This command I received from my Father.

Below is the hour which tells us of the time just before Jesus' arrest takes place. We read of grate drops of blood pouring out of Jesus skin. This is a medical condition which takes place under severe pressure. The garden here is an olive garden. The olive presses are in this vicinity as olive oil is produced in this location. The oil is a representation of the Holy Spirit which is the third person of the Triune Godhead. This is not coincidental but a representation of what would take place due to the death of Christ and the release of the Holy Spirit to indwell humanity - that is those to accept Jesus as their Savior can receive the Holy Spirit and be counted as righteous in God's eyes. There are enumerable "types" as describe here within scripture which coincide with Hebrew Hermeneutics describing Jesus' mission on the earth. These prophetic types are outstanding and impossible to deny!

Matt 26:37- 39 (The Gospel of Matthew ... New Testament)

And taking with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to be sorrowful and troubled.

Then he said to them, "My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and watch with me."

And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, "My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt."

This is the Messianic Prophecy (regarding Jesus) spoken by Isaiah around 750 years before the birth of Christ. We are approaching the famed Messianic Prophecy speaking of the suffering Messiah in Isaiah 53. The Suffering Messiah (Suffering Christ) prophesied!

Isaiah 42:1 -9

1 "Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him and he will bring justice to the nations.

2 He will not shout or cry out, or raise his voice in the streets.

3 A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice;

4 he will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth. In his law the islands will put their hope."

5 This is what God the LORD says - he who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and all that comes out of it, who gives breath to its people, and life to those who walk on it:

6 "I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles,

7 to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.

8 "I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not give my glory to another or my praise to idols.

9 See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you."

Jesus, will establish justice on the earth. He has told us the god of this earth is judged. Jesus is making reference to Satan. Back in the book of Genesis we read of the Seed of Women crushing the head of the serpent and the heal of the Seed being bruised. This is referencing the work of the Cross. Christ has brought justice by giving each one a chance to choose eternal life, or eternal death by rejecting the free gift of Salvation.

Christ did not come into the world to condemn the world but to save that which is already lost.

Jesus came to save the lost. Each person has a chance to receive God's forgiveness and gift of Salvation.

Just as Jesus chose to save humanity by dying for our sins,

You can chose to receive Eternal Life in Heaven by accepting Jesus - His mission and work - for our restitution to righteousness.

He declared those who are in Him (Born Again and made into a New Creation) righteous through His sacrifice on the Cross. Ultimately, His justice will be established when He takes the earth back from the forces of darkness after the seven years of tribulation, which are prophesied in the Book of Daniel, are over and there is peace for a millennium while Jesus reigns as the true One World Leader and the usurper is bound for the one thousand year reign of Christ.

Isaiah 49:6 - 8

6 he says: "It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring my salvation to the ends of the earth."

7 This is what the LORD says - the Redeemer and Holy One of Israel - to him who was despised and abhorred by the nation, to the servant of rulers: "Kings will see you and rise up, princes will see and bow down, because of the LORD, Who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you."

8 This is what the LORD says: "In the time of my favor I will answer you, and in the day of salvation I will help you; I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances,

Verse 6 In this prophecy God is telling us Jesus Christ is to bring salvation to the whole earth, the Gentiles, and not just the southern and northern kingdoms of Israel. Israel was divided into two nations at the time of Isaiah's writing.

Verse 7 God is pointing out that the Messiah (Christ) will be abhorred by His own country men. But God's plan is to save Israel and Messiah accomplishes the New Covenant and succeeds in not only redeeming Israel but all those who accept Him - as death itself is conquered and looses its sting Paul tells us later in the New Testament!

Verse 8 Here we read of the restoration of the land and a reassigning of its inheritances. The tribes of Israel were to be located within specific areas in the promised land. Each tribe had its place in Israel. We see today that the people, the Jews, are back in the land and it is prospering and blossoming. But when Yeshua rules and reigns from the Thrown of David, the restoration will be like nothing we know or have seen anywhere on earth! Not only the land, but humanity will be transformed; especially those who have a resurrected body. Post-humanism will be like an antique show compared to the believers resurrected body. Even those who managed to survive the 7 years of tribulation who do not receive the mark of the beast nor become saved will live to be hundreds of years old. Theologians has say it will be due to this incredible restoration of the earth that takes place when Satan is bound for a thousand years and Yeshua Hamashiach (Jesus Christ) is ruling the earth.

Verse 9: God is speaking to the Messiah, Jesus, His only Son saying He will be there to help Him. Here is the Covenant with Israel. Israel will be fully restored after the Great Tribulation that is still to come upon the world. It is a profession of what God and the Messiah would interact on and it is the Father speaking to His Son the Messiah (Christ in the Greek). It is saying, on this acceptable day of salvation, the day My Son goes forth to provide salvation - His mission to earth, I was right there to help Him. This is a prophetic past tense statement written around 750 years before Christ was on the earth speaking of Christ' mission while He would be here on the earth. The Apostle Paul makes reference to this scripture in his letter to the Corinthian Church.

2 Corinthians 6:1 -2 - (The letter to the Corinthian Church ... New Testament)

1 As God's fellow workers we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain.

2 For he says, "In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you." I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation.

Isaiah 52:7 - 54:8

7 How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation,

who say to Zion," Your God reigns!"

8 Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices; together they shout for joy.

When the LORD returns to Zion, they will see it with their own eyes.

9 Burst into songs of joy together, you ruins of Jerusalem, for the LORD has comforted his people, he has redeemed Jerusalem.

Matthew 23:39 (Jesus' words spoken to us.)

"you will not see me (JESUS) again Jerusalem until you say,'
Blessed is He who comes.
in the name of the Lord'"

At the second coming of Christ, He will redeem the Elect of Israel and they will "look upon the one they have pierced". This elect is not just the 144,000 specifically set apart, but many of the Children of Abraham as Jesus said while He rode into Jerusalem on a donkey,

Below we read of a prophecy being given by God (God is speaking in the first person.) to the prophet Zechariah telling us of how Israel will corporately morn for Messiah when they see He had came to them two thousand years ago as the suffering Messiah which the ancient rabbis noted in their writing. The rabbis knew of the Suffering Servant Messiah and the Reigning King Messiah. Two thousand years ago they were looking for the conquering king but Christ would appear first as the Suffering Servant.

Zech 12: 10 (Approximately 500 BC; Old Testament)

10 "And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication.

They will look on me, the one they have pierced,

and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.

God's Chosen People had "looked upon Him" while He was on the Cross fulfilling the Prophecy mentioned above but it will have its true fulfillment when Christ comes again as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah as opposed to the Suffering Servant as He was on the cross.

Continuing in Isaiah ...
10 The LORD will lay bare his holy arm in the sight of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God.

11 Depart, depart, go out from there! Touch no unclean thing! Come out from it and be pure, you who carry the vessels of the LORD.

12 But you will not leave in haste or go in flight; for the LORD will go before you, the God of Israel will be your rear guard.

13 See, my servant will act wisely; he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted.

Here we see a picture of the Cross as Christ's arms were nailed as He laid bare his arms upon the cross and was lifted up for all to see! You must understand Roman guards, ropes, nails, and crowds did not hold Jesus down. Jesus, as we just read, laid His life down freely for the sake of humanity giving the Holy Spirit to us so that we can be born again and have God's Spirit indwelling us.

Today the whole earth is seeing the Salvation of our God in Christ through the Gospel by His grace!

Christ was raised and lifted up on the Cross for all to see. He was raised from the dead and lifted to the right hand of the God the Father. In Ancient times, when a king visited another kingdom, if the visiting king was invited to sit at the right hand of the throne, it was indicative that the visiting king had equal power over the kingdom. It was a gesture of kindness in the ancient world, but this is telling us Christ has equal power with God at this point. God has given Christ all authority in Heaven and earth.

John 3:14 - 15 (The Gospel of John ... New Testament)
(Jesus said)

14 "Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,

15 that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life."

During a time of Israel's disobedience, God sent fiery serpents to strike at the disobedient. God showed His mercy by telling Moses to make a brass snake and to place the serpent upon a pole. He had Moses raise this serpent up high for all the people to see because God was instructing Moses that all the people would have to do was to look upon this serpent and they would be healed and would live.

All there was for the people to do was to look to the snake on the pole to be healed. All we have to do is to look at Christ on the Cross and know he died for our sins and that we are forgiven.

The snake is a symbol of our sins nailed to the cross. Christ paid for all our sins with His blood by dying on the Cross as a sacrifice for us.

Continuing in Isaiah ...
14 Just as there were many who were appalled at him - his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any man and his form marred beyond human likeness-

15 so will he sprinkle many nations, and kings will shut their mouths because of him. For what they were not told, they will see, and what they have not heard, they will understand.

Jesus Christ was beaten so severely into such a bloody mess that people could not recognize him as a man.

His blood was sprinkled for the healing of the nations. As a type - performed in Old Testament times of the sprinkling of the Holy of Holy mercy seat where the LORD GOD sits and reigns from.

Eph 1:7 (The book of Ephesians ... New Testament)

7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace
----------------------------------------
NIV

The word forgiveness means to set free.
The ritual known as Yom Kippur (The Day of Atonement) was instructed by God to Moses. We find its description in the book of Leviticus 16:7-19. The process was used for the atonement of the sins of the people.
Two goats were to be taken and lots were cast to pick one to set free (the escape goat) into the wilderness and the other was to be sacrificed. Its blood would be sprinkled by the High Priest onto the Mercy Seat in the Tabernacle before God. This sprinkling was for atonement, which was temporary covering up or hiding of the peoples sins and represented God's forgiveness of sins. The High Priest would lay his hands on the escape goat, and confess the sins of the people. It was then set free in the wilderness and the sins were taken away by it as it roamed away form the populated area lost. This Process was done once a year on the Day of Atonement.
This is accomplished by the work of Christ on the Cross. He sprinkles the nations of the whole world with His sacrifice once and for all time as indicated in Isaiah's Prophecy above in 52:15.

John 1:29 (The Gospel of John ... New Testament)

29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God , who takes away the sin of the world!
----------------------------------------
NIV

Let us contemplate King David's words... A man after God's own heart.

Ps 103:6-13 (The Psalms ... Old Testament; 1200 BC)
Psalm Of David.
6 The LORD works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.
7 He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel:
8 The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.
9 He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever;
10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.
11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him;
12 as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
13 As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;
----------------------------------------
NIV

The word "fear" here is used, as elsewhere when speaking of Godly fear, is typical of the healthy fear one should have for a stop sign while driving. A fear of not obeying traffic signs is a beneficial fear - having a respect for God's Holy Bible thus, for fear God Himself is a beneficial trait and a theme pronounced throughout scripture.

Continuing in Isaiah ...
Isaiah 53
1 Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?

2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.

3 He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

4 Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.

8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away. And who can speak of his descendants? For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people he was stricken.

9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth. 10 Yet it was the LORD's will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the LORD makes his life a guilt offering, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the LORD will prosper in his hand. 11 After the suffering of his soul, he will see the light [of life] and be satisfied; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, and he will divide the spoils with the strong, because he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Isaiah 53:2; The "tender shoot" is mentioned prophetically. We find the Messiah is to come to us through the "Root of Jessie", King David's father. From the line of Judah the Messiah will be born. Israel prophesied on his death bed concerning Judah that the Messiah will come through his blood line.

Jesus was a common man not of any special attractiveness in physical form. The Antichrist will basically be one who is very well received and will seem to be highly gifted. What a contrast we have in the verses above regarding the King of Kings, the Son of Man, who conquers evil with that of the Antichrist! While Love incarnate - Jesus Christ - appears lowly, the devil comes disguised as an angel of light beaming with wonderful plans for global unity. He will be received by a deceived world whose hopes are not in God but in man's ability. But God calls us to the simple things which transcends all our abilities even as we approach the age of Transhumanism. Yet there are mathematical codes hidden in the Bible that far exceed anything man can produce.

Isaiah 53 verse 3; Jesus had lived a life of peace. He started His ministry and began healing people of their illnesses. He didn't acquire any of the popular sinful habits of his society and was an outcast. Isn't that what society proposes to us today? He didn't come with a rod of iron to punish the wicked at His first appearance here on earth. Instead, He was torn to pieces by the wicked of this world so as to fulfill the prophesies spoken of Him. But is this not the way of humanity? Don't we tear one another to pieces in abortion clinics in our post modern era? The most innocent of all humanity is deemed expendable. Sex outside of marriage equates to countless deaths of innocent children.

Why? If God is God, could not He just setup everything so that this hard life for us and His Son could be much better? Why is the question you might be asking as you see how this very light discussion on the Bible's prophetic nature may be bringing you to a place of believing that Jesus is the Son of God if you are not already a believer. We know God is Love which is His most defining trait. We also see God is all knowing. He knew humanity would reject Him. In preserving a race of people who have a free will, God willed to save humanity though they would become His enemies!

Amazing Grace - "Amazing Grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me" the song resounds from generation to generation. But it is all meaningless if you do not believe. And your eternal state will not be good to say the least if you reject this Salvation. We are living in a time - dimension of Common Grace that we might find and received Saving Grace. But you have to be willing to receive the gift of Saving Grace.

Isaiah 53 verse 4 - 9 (above) written over 700 years before Jesus is born confirms what Jesus is to do. He was afflicted for us and He knows the sorrows people feel today and throughout all time. The scriptures state the a sparrow will not fall to the ground with out God's knowledge of the fact. All the deeds of men will be brought to light before our righteous judge, and every word speaking evil of others will be brought out. How very much do men need to be saved! And how the saved need to bridle their tongue.

Humanity is a fallen race. Science is producing methods of preserving and enhancing fallen humanity but will that enhance our capacity to do evil as well? This is a major philosophical question in our day. We are moving quickly toward the Event Horizon of what might be the end of humanity as we know it. This "Event" is when machine and even transhumans will become many times smarter than the brightest persons. An enhanced human may be millions of times more capable than the rest of humanity.

Surly He took our infirmities and took our sorrows upon Himself. Only the redeemed of the Lord say so. If you have not experienced the love of God yourself, it's all interesting, but you still reject the truth unless you make up your mind to truly believe. Why is that? This is due to our inability to perceive truth. This means you are guaranteed an eternity in hell. Not because God is just waiting to send you there. But because you have rejected the only way to Heaven. Here we are in a time of Common Grace for the chance to have an eternity in Heaven through God's Saving Grace. You have to surrender sin. You may come to reason that you have sins that need forgiveness. You may think you have to get it all right before you come before God. That is a mistake! You come with all your pain and dirt and ask God to forgive you! God will then point you to go in another direction with the help of His Holy Spirit!

Until we surrender our sin to God, we believe we are in control. The Bible says we are slaves to sin. The Bible also states we - those who are in Christ - are free indeed. There is no doubt in my mind that I would never want what this world has to offer for what I have in Christ Jesus! Countless millions of Christians will attest to that.

Jesus' mission is to redeem mankind back to God and to take upon Himself our sins. The concept of redemption is an economic term and for the ancient Hebrew it was a socioeconomic law. If you could not pay back a debt owed, you might have to go and clean the lender's house. It is a type of servitude. Note if you could not afford to live independently it provided a way for the poor to have shelter and food. By the same law a relative, a kinsman, could pay the owed debt and release you from working off your debt. The Apostle Paul, Rabbi Shaul, tells us that Jesus is the Kinsman Redeemer for the whole human race. He was able to purchase us with His blood due to the fact He did not have an earthly father. We consider Jesus by scripture's description to be completely human and completely God. Shual also tells us Jesus is the Second Adam. Interesting note is that every child has their father's blood in their veins. Jesus did not have an earthly father but only a human mother. When we become born again, we become children of God. Till then we have nothing to do with the God of the Bible outside of being His enemies.

To come under God's judgment for mankind so mankind can enter Heaven was the very purpose of Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us we become a New Creation once we are Born Again. That rebirth comes by faith in the saving work of the Cross. You receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit which is the New Birthing of that New Creation. That is what makes you acceptable to God. Even the worst of the worst becomes acceptable to God once Born again.

There is absolutely not one righteous person alive anywhere. The only hope and righteousness that can be attained is by first coming to Christ and asking for forgiveness of one's sins.

Jesus had no confession to make while he was being scourged by the Roman guard. The lashes were to extract a confession from the criminal facing crucifixion as to solve some of the crimes that had taken place locally.

If you did not confess to a crime, you were whipped with more force with each lash. If it was determined that the Roman soldier had failed at his job, he could be severely punished to make sure he did his job next time.

Christ was innocent of all crimes. He could not speak a word to ease the solder's lashing. He was taking upon Himself our punishment and had come not to accuse mankind but to redeem humanity to Himself. He was born for this purpose. He lived His life knowing that the prophesies would be fulfilled. He took upon Himself our sins and punishment and yet, "opened not His mouth," because His purpose was to die in silence while He spoke the words God had given Him. He lived a life of peace healing and helping the oppressed.

This is a mark in time for all eternity. Where people confess that they are sinners and Christ sacrifice for their sins is accepted by God. Christ place was to remain silent while He, the Son of God, takes your punishment upon Himself. Your place is to speak out now and say, "Lord Forgive me, I am guilty, Please come into my life... I accept your sacrifice for my life." Those who do not have Christ as their Savior have no righteousness before a Holy and Pure God!

This is what God has done for you, Even if you're His enemy. No one can say God is not fair in light of the Cross and who He is.

We answer with a "yes" to Jesus or answer with "no righteousness" before God at the second resurrection of man. The link titled Heaven has a simple prayer.

The scriptures speak of Christ as an advocate, a lawyer, who stands before God for you as your representative. You can't lose with Christ as your advocate.

This proves that there is a place of punishment for anyone who does not think so. God will not hold us accused of our crimes because Christ has bore our sins if we have accepted Him.

Christ was killed and had no children, but we are called the Sons of God through faith in Christ. So now we are descendants of the Most High!

Christ was crucified with two common criminals and was laid to rest in a rich mans tomb.

The Lord crushed Jesus on the Cross for the redemption of mankind. This was settled before the foundations of the world were in place. The will of the Lord is that mankind should be in Heaven. The Prophet Daniel tells us the "Anointed One," Messiah or Christ in the Greek, would be killed, "but not for Himself," hundreds of years before the birth of Christ and Micah tells us the precise location of the birth of Jesus the Christ and that "His going forth is from eternity past."

Jesus suffered one thing far worse than the scourging and the crucifix. The crucifix in itself is a far - worse torment than the lashes. The lashes were enough to kill a man. Not going into any detail as to how a human body suffers on a cross, the greatest agony was the separation from God Jesus had to face while God and Jesus Christ had to be separated from one another for the remission of our sins. This is when Jesus called out "My God My God, why have You forsaken Me?". This is what is faced by those who do not know Him -- eternal separation from God. How severe is hell? It depends on how far from God you are during your life. It is a scary prospect. Some believe there are no levels or degrees of punishment while some say there are. But this is not due to God sending people to hell. God died on the Cross to redeem, by back, humanity from this separation from God.

This separation can be very severe depending on the sinful nature of the individual. Christ had to take all of this emptiness upon Himself in order to keep his redeemed souls (purchased by His death, burial and resurrection) from facing this torment. Have you accepted Christ as the Savior of your soul...?

Know Him and not just about Him as if He is just some figure of history. How is that possible? He is still alive! . He is risen and He is at the door of your life knocking - looking to commune with you in deeper fellowship. Don't walk away from the door! He has risen and He is King and Judge. Don't just believe in the historical figure of Who Christ was!

Isa 54: 1 - 8

1 "Sing, O barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labor; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband," says the LORD.

2 "Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes.

3 For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities.

4 "Do not be afraid; you will not suffer shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated. You will forget the shame of your youth and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood.

5 For your Maker is your husband -

The LORD Almighty is his name
The Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer;
He is called the God of all the earth.

6 The LORD will call you back as if you were a wife deserted and distressed in spirit - a wife who married young, only to be rejected," says your God. 7

"For a brief moment I abandoned you,
but with deep compassion I will bring you back
.

8 In a surge of anger I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness

I will have compassion on you," says the LORD your Redeemer.

The prophet Hosea tells us:

Hosea 3:4-5 (Hosea: Old Testament; ~750 BC)

4 For the children of Israel shall abide many days without king, and without prince, and without sacrifice, and without pillar, and without ephod or teraphim:

5 afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek Jehovah their God, and David their king, and shall come with fear unto Jehovah and to his goodness in the latter days.
